ExportPro/TradingPro/ExportLiteUpgrade - Single User
TradingPro, ExportPro, ExportLite Version 1.92 [These instructions are also found in the readme folder on the upgrade CD] INSTRUCTIONS TO UPGRADE EXISTING SINGLE USER ‘STANDALONE’ PC INSTALLATIONS for Windows 95/98/2000 (for Windows 3.x installations please contact our Support Centre) THIS PROCEDURE IS NOT SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR NEW INSTALLATIONS. FOR CONVERSION OF SINGLE USER SYSTEMS TO MULTI-USER PLEASE CONTACT OUR SUPPORT CENTRE. FOR CONVERSION OR UPGRADE OF VERSIONS OF THE SYSTEM PRIOR TO 1.70 PLEASE CONTACT OUR SUPPORT CENTRE. ALL UPGRADES ARE SUBJECT TO LIMITATIONS DICTATED BY THE REGISTERED LICENCE DETAILS OF THE COMPANY USING EXPORTPRO, EXPORTLITE OR TRADINGPRO.
*************************************************************************************************************************** BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THIS INSTALLATION PLEASE MAKE FULL COPIES OF ALL EXPORTPRO FILES AND DIRECTORIES ON THE PC WORKSTATIONS – ExportPro Limited take no responsibility for loss of data due to lack of sufficient backup procedures by the customer. ExportPro Ltd advise the single or ‘standalone’ user to store their \data and \db folders in a separate location on their local drive and ensure that these folders are backed up regularly as required. This removes the necessity to restore the folders from a backup after a software upgrade. However if this not possible, then you MUST restore your \data and \db folders to their original locations after upgrading. ************************************************************************************************************************** WHEN USING THIS PROCEDURE DO NOT IGNORE UNEXPECTED OR IN FACT ANY ERROR MESSAGE OR ABNORMALITY IN THE FUNCTION OF THE UPGRADE PROCESS. Please find below the instructions on how to prepare for upgrading the ExportPro program on your PC only (where there is no file server available or necessary for your export system needs). This procedure is essential to smooth the path of future upgrades.
Copy the contents of the upgrade CD into the new \Install directory.
Also perform the following additional transfers.
All '. lan’ files from (for e.g.) C:\Export to the new EXPRO\Export directory.
If you are upgrading from a version 1.70 (any variation) or before please contact our Support Centre before doing this. (This file contains all the print settings and other system parameters) Security Password options and an extra database option to allow alternative language or technical descriptions of products are also available to existing supported users if required. Please contact our Support Centre for details.
Please find below the instructions on how to upgrade a PC Workstation (or install the ExportPro software on a new PC):
A dialogue box will appear onscreen containing the ExportPro icon
Additional checks: Check your Windows System Directory for the following files: MSABC200.DLL MSAJT200.DLL & MSAJU200.DLL If they are not present copy these 3 files from C:\export to the C:\windows\system directory. If any are present check the version numbers and compare with the same files in C:\export. If the version numbers are different contact our Support Centre. Completion of install/upgrade:
The opening screen should come up with the Registration Spreadsheet showing companies address details at the bottom of the screen Change the User Name on the Registration Spreadsheet if necessary, by clicking on 'Update', retyping the name and position details, then clicking on 'SAVE' Go into the program in the usual way
A box will appear saying "cannot find the database, if this is the first time, please click on OK"
The database should then connect to the program
INTERFACE OPTION FOR EXPORTPRO: Once the upgrade has been completed successfully, users who have an interface with their existing system may need to restore their interface files. Copy exinter.exe and vbio.vbx from backup source, into C:/EXPORT.

Year2K settings - Manual Setting Instructions - If EXY2K.exe is not suitable Open C:\WINDOWS\WIN.INI file in any text editor, such as Notepad. (If you did not install Windows to the default folder, replace C:\WINDOWS with the folder that you did install Windows into) Scroll down to the end of the WIN.INI file, then type the following lines at the end of the WIN.INI file: [Microsoft Access 2.0] TwoDigitYearMax=2029 Save the changes, and then close the WIN.INI file. PLEASE DESTROY OR RECYCLE ALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF THE INSTALL CDROM OR FLOPPIES
